Its the story of Helen Hamilton who lives on Nantucket and finds out that she is a demi-god after she attacked the hottest guy on the whole island (Lucas). The semi-gods are all in different houses, depending on which god is their ancester. Helen and Lucas are in different houses, which is why the Furies force them to attack each other. However, after Lucas and Helen save each others life (on accident), the Furies let go and they can get to know each other "normally". The story continues with many problems and gods who want their powers back etc and I won't tell you what else will happen. Just trust me on this one. It is a catching story and great to read. It is like a mix of Percy Jackson and Twilight where Greek mythology meets love story. But it is addicting and definetly less cheesy and weird than twilight. Its perfect.
As you can tell, I really like this book. It is written in a very engaging way, and eventhough it contains loads of Greek mythology it is quite easy to follow. You should be interested in or at least willing to read about greek mythology though because it (obviously) plays quite an important role and it is also developed further throughout the story. The characters are great, and most of them are well developed. Some aren't realistic because it seems like guys like Lucas don't exist in real life (you'll understand after you read... and after you had a crush on him!). The book is packed with humor and some sarcasm which makes it even more entertaining to read. Sorry, I can't objectively rate and describe the story, which should tell you a lot about it. I will repeat myself and advise you to take a weekend off to read all three books in a row. - Nicole
